Christian/Educational MUDs

CE-MUD is a list to discuss the use of MUDs as a medium for the promotion of Christian values. Since they are a lot of fun and theoreticly neutral, many Christians believe that they would make great evangelization and educational tools. On the other hand, in practice MUDs tend to be themed around violence, sex or both, in a manner that consumes the greatest amount of time possible. Does this make them inherently bad, or can they be put to good use instead? By starting and supporting Christian-themed MUDs, can we effect a change in the lives of MUD-addicts?
